Abstract

728,173. Buckets. B.E.F. PRODUCTS (ESSEX), Ltd. Dec. 30, 1953 [Jan. 16, 1953], No. 1358/53. Class 66. A bucket body 1, Fig. 3, made of polythene or other plastic material has a down-turned mouth-lip 2 in which are formed a pair of diametrically opposed slots 4 each slot being flanked by a pair of bracing ribs 5 spanning the annulus between the lip 2 and the body 1. The handle 6, Fig. 7, preferably of tee-section with the short leg 9 of the tee lying on the outside of the handle, is also made of plastic and is provided with studs 7 on round shanks 8 which engage in the slots 4. The slots 4 and stud heads 7 may be elliptical in shape with their major axes at right angles when the handle is upright.
