Abstract

854,353. Egg-lifters. AITKEN & PARTNERS Ltd., R. Dec. 11, 1958, No. 39964/58. Class 28(1). [Also in Group XXIII] An egg-lifting device comprises a pair of arms 1, 2 having co-operating formations at their ends adjacent which, on the arms, are shoulders 11, 12 which engage, when the formations are brought together to receive an egg, to prevent damage to the egg. As shown, the device is moulded in one piece from a slightly resilient synthetic polymer, arms 1, 2 being stiffened by flanges 3 and joined by a U-shaped part 4. The co-operating formations each have an upper rim 7 and a lower rib 9 joined by a side wall 8. Abutting formations 6 on the arms prevent their being brought too close together.
