An animal-carrying vehicle has a rear compartment 14 closed by a three-quarter partition 25 hinged to a post 26, a side compartment 15 closed by a similar partition 21 hinged to the post 23 and a further side compartment 16 closed by a partition 22 hinged to the post 24 and by a ramp 2 hinged to the vehicle body at 3 and forming a side wall of the vehicle. The upper edges of the side walls are provided with windows 7, 11 and a further window 11 is provided over the windscreen.
