727,451. Self-levelling apparatus. AMERICAN MACHINE & FOUNDRY CO. June 26, 1953, No. 17759/53. Class 78 (2). Apparatus of the self-levelling dispensing platform type comprises a jogging device 144 associated with the platform 54 for positively displacing the platform whenever friction between platform and walls prevents the platform from maintaining its level. As shown, table 54 is maintained at the level shown by the force of springs (not shown) upon the supporting chains 76, the chain passing over sprockets 84, 86 and being attached to the platform at 68. Handle 144 is fitted with pawl 150 which rotates ratchet 158 on shaft 88 and thus sprockets 84, 86, so as to jog the platform when required. The material on the platform 54 is supported by drop flaps 120, 122 carried by top plate 34.
