Abstract

725,567. Self-levelling devices. AMERICAN MACHINE & FOUNDRY CO. Jan. 29, 1953 [Feb. 9, 1952], No. 2567/53. Class 78 (2). Trays of bottles are stacked on a self-levelling platform 30 counterbalanced by spring 36, the layers of bottles being separated by separator plates 62 guided by guide 46. As shown, platform 30 is carried by cantilevers 20 furnished with rollers 24 which run vertically up both sides of pillar 16, the weight of the whole being taken by springs 36. The said plates have lugs (or rings) 44 engaging the guides 46 so that when out of use the plates may be stacked as shown against rest 48. The plates may have collapsible feet 50 separating one plate from the next. Rest 48 may carry an advertisement. Stop 58 engages to stop the platform 30.
