Abstract

726,559. Spray-producers. KESTNER EVAPORATOR & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Dec. 4, 1953 [Feb. 13, 1953], No. 4087/53. Class 69 (3). A rotary spraying bowl, which may be shaped as shown at 10a or 10b and supplied with liquid through a part 13, is fixed to a hub 14 secured to a driving spindle 12 and is characterised in that the whole or part of the working surface of the bowl is protected by a layer of abrasion and/or acid resisting material. The layer may comprise a replaceable liner 16 in the form of a mild steel spinning coated with a layer of rubber or rubber substitute 23. Alternatively, the rubber &c. is applied direct to the bowl surface. The bowl and liner are mounted on the flange 15 of the hub by nuts and bolts 19, 20 and spacers 21 provide radial liquid flow passages extending from a chamber 18. The dimensions of the said passages may be modified to suit various liquids. The bolts 19 are protected by rubber sleeves 24 and the top surface of the hub may also be provided with a layer of protective material. Specification 365,342 is referred to.
