Abstract

In a method of pelleting ores, in particular iron ores, in a dry or particulate state the ores, preferably after being finely ground and mixed with substances such as lime, silica or MgO-containing or argillaceous substances, are converted into ball form on an inclined rotating disc with an upstanding rim while spraying with liquid, preferably water. The disc bottom may be heated, and the formed pellets may subsequently be compacted and fired on a travelling grate.
