[Also in Groups V, XXII and XXIII] A model or checking fixture comprises a tubular metal framework 17, 18 having reticulated metal sheets 21, 22 with a backing and a working surface 26, each of a plastic material, e.g. a phenolic or epoxy resin. The working surface may be formed by moulding (see Group V). The model may be a part of a motor vehicle, e.g. a door, as shown, or a boot lid (Figs. 11 and 12, not shown). Peripheral sheet metal members 19 may be provided.
