725,811. Trawl fishing. STANSFIELD, J. Jan. 26, 1954 [Jan. 26,- 1953], No. 2138/53. Class 48. In a towing apparatus for a trawl net comprising towing warps b<1>, b<2> connecting otter boards e<1>, e<2> to a trawler, the net is connected to the trawler by towing warps h<1>, h<2> guided close to their lower ends along and by the otter board towing warps b<1>, b<2> so that by hauling in or paying out the net towing warps h<1>, h<2> the depth at which the net is towed can be adjusted. A trolley l<1>, l<2> is detachably connected in the length of each net towing warp and a sheave on each trolley runs along the corresponding otter board towing warp. The otter boards are connected by a cable f on which a heavy steel ball g is reeved. During fishing the inboard ends of the otter board warps are secured to hooks on the gallows and the inboard ends of the net warps pass round pulleys on the gallows to winch drums.
