A portion 15 of a carton closure flap is coated with adhesive repellant so that when the flaps are secured, a portion 13 of a superposed flap is free to be torn out for use as a coupon &c., or to hinge upwardly as a display member. The repellant may be varnish, gloss printing ink or other gloss finish.
