Abstract

The invention relates to a cardboard box intended to contain mail or any other object transported by the postal services. The box according to the invention comprises a bottom 2 which determines, with the longitudinal walls 3 and 4 and the lateral walls 5 and 6, an internal volume 7, the various walls being of trapezoidal shape. The closing of this box is provided by means of two flaps 8 and 9 such that, in the closed position, one of the flaps 8 partially covers the other flap 9 and is maintained in the closed position by means of two tongues 18 and 19 slipped into slots 20 and 21 formed in the folds of the cardboard sheet at the level of the inclined lateral walls 5 and 6 of the box. In the internal volume of this box, a set of compartments may be formed by means of removable walls 40 constituted by sheets of cardboard cut out and folded in L-shape which slide between the branches 42 and 43 of an H-shaped double bottom 41. The flap 8 will advantageously comprise a display window 63 to allow a label, fixed in a removable manner to the other flap 9, to be read. The invention will be particularly applied to the routing of mail or any other object transported by the postal services by air, land or sea.
