Abstract

723,909. Converting. FERRANTI, Ltd. May 26, 1953 [March 7, 1952], No. 5946/52. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XL (c)] The E.H.T. winding of the output transformer of a television line time-base circuit is divided into parts connected by damping resistors having a total value of between 5000 and 50,000 ohms, or the winding is arranged to be of this resistance. The Figure shows a conventional saw-tooth generator of the blocking oscillator type, the E.H.T. winding being divided into two parts connected by a resistor 13 of between 5000 and 50,000 ohms to damp ringing oscillations in the winding.
