A radiator element for an electrically heated infra-red radiation drying oven has a plane front surface 1 provided with curved indentations 2, and asbestos or other heat insulating material 6 and an aluminium foil radiation reflecting sheet 7 between the heater wires 5 and the rear cover plate 9, another insulating layer 8 being provided between sheets 7 and 9. The assembly is held together by channel section strips 10.
