A loader, particularly intended for attachment to a vehicle, comprises a pair of hydraulically actuated parallelogram linkages a, m pivoted to the vehicle at q and to a pair of brackets O, secured to a platform n, at y; the arrangement being such that pivots y lie on opposite sides of a vertical plane X-X which passes through the centre of the platform. In a modification the link m may be provided on one linkage only. Each link a is braced by members d, e, and a thrustor h, i which is pivoted to the vehicle at j acts on a rod f interconnecting the two pairs of members d, e. To facilitate easy removal of the loader the pivots q consist of removable pins and an eye k is provided on the thrustor for attachment to a pin (not shown) on the vehicle.
