Shuttering for casting walls, arches, barrel vaulting or conduits is supported from scaffold poles by means of clamps adjustably secured thereon and connecting-means between each clamp and a support bar carrying the shuttering provides pivotal adjustment thereof with the clamp and support bar in two different planes. In one form for wall shuttering the shuttering 1, Fig. 1, has hooks 2 engaged by a support bar 3 secured by a bolt 14 to one arm of an anglebracket 10 permitting adjustment about a vertical axis, the other arm of the bracket 10 being connected by an arm 8 to a two-part clamp 5 on a scaffold pole 4 by bolts 9, 11 which permit angular adjustment of the arm 8 with respect to the clamp about a horizontal axis. In another form the arm 8 may be omitted and the bracket arm 10 connected directly to the clamp 5. The arrangement shown in Fig. 1 may also be used for supporting shuttering plates horizontally disposed. For curved shuttering, the connecting means between the clamps and the support-bars 2b, Fig. 4, may comprise two sets of arms 8, 8a which are bolted in slots in an intermediate plate 12, the arms 8a being bolted to an angle-bracket 10 in turn bolted to the support-bars 2b. A central framing of scaffold poles 4 is built up to the shape of the arch and the plates 12 connected end to end to a similar shape. External shuttering plates can be supported in similar manner from an external supporting framework.
