Abstract
722,580. Stretch-bending. OECKL, O. Nov. 24, 1952 [Dec. 3, 1951; Dec. 3, 1951; May 9, 1952], No. 29721/52. Class 83 (4). In a stretch-bending machine a die 3 is carried on a piston 2 rotatable and displaceable on a cylinder 1 and the clamps 7 are rotatably mounted on arms 5 pivoted to the cylinder 1 and radially moved by pressure cylinders 9 or by motor-driven screw gearing, Fig. 5 (not shown). The die may be supported on a table 31 inclined by a piston 33 in a fluid cylinder 34. The clamps have zig-zag gripping faces and are operated by wedge bars, Fig. 8, not shown, or wedge surfaces, Fig. 7, not shown, by fluid cylinders. In use, the die may be rotatably adjusted in the cylinder 1 and the clamps may be inclined to'the die.
