Abstract

722,251. Mixing charges. FEIFER, R. April 21, 1950 [May 10, 1949 ; Dec. 10, 1949], No. 9932/50. Class 7 (2). A charge-mixing device comprises a flange 1 with inclined blades 5 supporting a streamlined body 4, the ends of the blades 5 adjacent the flange projecting beyond the flange at one or both faces of the flange in order to facilitate centering of the device in the induction pipe and carburetter outlet. The device may be arranged with the body 4 either upstream or downstream of the plane of the flange 1, and short blades 6 are positioned between the blades 5. The inner ends of the blades 5 may be arranged tangentially to the body 4 and the angle A that the blades make with the axis of the member 4 is preferably below 20 degrees.
