721,731. Magnetic cores. MINISTER OF SUPPLY, BREWER, A. W., and ELLIOTT BROS. (LONDON), Ltd. Oct. 28, 1949, No. 30476/52. Divided out of 721,666. Class 38(2). [Also in Groups XXXVI and XXXVIII] An inductor for use as a magnetic fluxgate comprises a number of fine, straight wires 2 of high-permeability material, inserted into a silica tube 1, the free space being filled with silica powder 3 and the whole heat-treated after sealing. A winding is finally wound over the full length of the core 2.
