721,672. Pipe joints. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and BULMER, C. G. March 10, 1952. [April 24, 1951] No. 9462/51. Class 99 (1). In hose end connections wherein the end of a hose pipe 1 is gripped between an insert 2 and a sleeve 3 forming part of a coupling member 4, a sheath 3 of rubber or rubber-like material, other than a fire-resisting material, is fitted tightly around the sleeve and the adjacent part of the hose. The sheath is preferably twice the length of the sleeve and its wall thickness about one-sixteenth of an inch.
