720,854. Rail chairs. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINEFABRIEK EN IJZERGIETERIJ HOLLAND-BERGEN OP ZOOM. March 27, 1953 [April 3, 1952], No. 8503/53. Class 104 (2). A rail chair has vertical rail-base locating steps 7 and a cavity 4 which extends in the longitudinal direction of the sleeper and is provided with a transversely arched inner top wall 5. The arching has a radius of curvature r equal to about one half the width b of the rail-supporting face of the chair. The rail 3 is secured to the chair by means of clamping plates 6 and bolts with T-heads 8 inserted through openings 10 to lie below the steps 7 or by resilient spikes. One or more longitudinal ridges or partitions and transverse partitions may be provided in the cavity 4.
