Abstract

720,588. Strippable porous rubber-coated fabric. CARFA AKT.-GES. March 31, 1953 [March 31, 1952], No. 8957/53. Class 140. [Also in Groups V and XVI] An insert of porous rubber for stamp pads is obtained by pouring freely a foamed rubber latex onto a porous fabric consisting of yarns of artificial fibres, coagulating the latex thereon, vulcanizing the coagulated latex without any pressure, and then removing the fabric which may be cellulose acetate, artificial silk, nylon or perlon. In an example, a tray A has its bottom B covered with a porous fabric F of cellulose acetate, rubber latex is cast into tray A on top of the fabric and is then coagulated and vulcanized, the resulting porous pad K is taken out and the fabric is stripped from the underside.
