Abstract
718,178. Optical systems. CYCLOPTIC ANSTALT FUR OPTIK & MECHANIK. Feb. 6, 1951 [March 8, 1950], No. 2943/51. Class 97(1) A projection lens system is composed of two airseparated members, the front member on the long conjugate side comprising at least two lenses and the rear member consisting of a chromatically-corrected triplet-like system of a negative component between two positive components both members contributing in common to the image correction of the system. the total constructional length of the system being at least 0.7 of and at most twice the total focal length of the system, the focal length of the rear member differing by not more than 20 per cent from the focal length of the system and the focal length of the front member being greater than that of the whole system. The rear principal plane of the front member coincides at least approximately with the front focal plane of the rear member. Numerical data are given for an example of the objective shown the front member consisting of a simple positive lens followed by a doublet.
