Abstract
717,553. Axial-flow compressors. AKT.-GES., BROWN, BOVERI & CIE. July 21, 1952 [July 19, 1951], No. 18389/52. Class 110(1) In a multi-stage axial-flow compressor, one or more rows of moving blades, at least one of which is situated at the discharge end of the compressor, act as turbine blades at a pressure which either remains constant or increases, for the purpose of recuperating the velocity energy of the working, medium. In the compressor shown, rotor blades h, i and l, m act as turbine blades.
