In a gas cooker, having a rear outlet from the oven and a splash plate, a shallow flue extends from the oven to a vent provided in the splash plate. The lower part of the flue c is formed as a hood e extending over the oven outlet a. The outlet in the splash plate g is screened by a grid h secured by spring tongues j. A reflecting plate k, spaced from the rear face of the flue, provides insulation. The lower part of the flue is secured by a lug o engaging a pin on the cooker.
