Abstract
717,102. Roller conveyers. PARKER MITCHELL ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., PARKER, W. M., PARKER, W.J., and BOYLE, J. B. July 3, 1953, [Oct. 13, 1952.] No. 25559/52. Class 78 (I). In a conveyer of the kind in which each roller 8 is carried by a spindle 9 supported by a pair of parallel stringers 5 maintained in spaced relationship by transverse spacer bars 6, the stringers 5 are of rectangular box section with longitudinally extending gaps 7 in their opposed sides and the rollers are maintained in spaced relationship by longitudinally extending spacer strips II having holes or half bearings punched therein to receive the spindles, which holes register with the gaps 7 so that the spindle ends project into the stringers and abut against the inner faces of their outer sides. In a modification the ends of the spindles are formed with annular recesses which receive the upper and lower edges of the gaps 7.
