Abstract

1,149,455. Roller conveyers. W.J.PARKER, and W. M. PARKER. 9 May, 1968 [11 May, 1967], No. 21947/67. Heading B8A. In a roller conveyer comprising parallel rollers carried by spindles supported by a pair of parallel stringers, each spindle has at least one axially extending flat face welded to a stringer. A roller spindle 13 of square cross-section is welded at 15 to an angle-section stringer 10 whose horizontal flange is welded at 12 to a spacer bar 11 of square section. Anti-friction bearings are provided between the roller and the spindle. The spindles and spacers may be of triangular or other section which gives flat end faces to rest on the stringers. The spindles may be welded to the horizontal flanges of the stringers, Figs. 5-8 (not shown), and by arranging that the vertical flanges extend upwards from the horizontal flanges the vertical flanges form guides for goods being conveyed.
