Abstract

782,632. Roller conveyers. WHEELABRATOR CORPORATION. May 23, 1956 [Aug. 16, 1955], No. 15992/56. Class 78 (1). The shafts 1 are of non-circular cross-section and carry a series of discs 11 and spacing members 13 slidably mounted thereon which can be arranged in accordance with the crosssection 14 of the articles to be conveyed. Some members 13 may be replaced by discs 12 of greater diameter than the discs 11. The periphery of each disc 11 may be bevelled as shown, or rounded. The ends of the spacers 13, or shoulders on the discs 12, take into recesses in the discs 11. The parts are held between a set ring 8 and a displaceable ring 16 which is secured by the engagement of a key 17 in a wedge-shaped slot in the shaft. The spacer members 12, 13 may be of two-part construction.
