714,525. Annealing silicon steel. BLAWKNOX CO. Feb. 12, 1952, No. 3676/52. Class 72 Silicon steel is supported on carbon during annealing at 1600-2000‹ F. As shown, silicon steel strip 21 may be passed through a furnace 20, having a hydrogenous atmosphere, and supported on rollers 22 having sleeves of graphite or amorphous carbon. The furnace may be electrically heated.
