Abstract

PURPOSE:In annealing a coil etc. of a cold rolled steel band in a box-type annealing furnace equipped with a heating furnace and a cooling furnace, it is contemplated to prevent oxidization of the coil by substantially reducing for a short time the concentration of residual oxygen in the cooling chamber to that in supply atmospheric gas by taking advantage of unnecessary gas such as heated exhaust gas.
