Abstract

714,075. Building prop. SCAFFOLDING (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd., and ELLIOTT, N. B. July 14, 1952 [Aug. 2, 1951], No. 18317/51. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXIII] A prop for use in building comprising telescoping tubes 10, 11 has a screw adjustment in which the male screw thread is formed by a wire helix 13 welded to the outer tube 10. A coarse adjustment is provided by a pin 16 passing through one of a series of holes 15 in the inner tube 11 and slots 17 in the outer tube 10. A nut 18 has a screw thread engaging the male screw thread 13 and bears against the pin 16.
