725,697. Builders' props. SOC. COOPERATIVE L'ELECTRODE. Feb. 25, 1953 [Aug. 8, 1952], No. 5210/53. Class 20 (2). In a prop for building purposes comprising a tube 1 having an external screw thread 2 co-operating with a nut 3 supporting an inner tube 5 by means of a pin 7, the nut is provided with a depending extension 3a extending over at least the distance between two of the holes 6 with one of which the pin 7 is adapted to engage, clearance 10 being provided between the extension 3a and the tube 1. This extension protects the screw threads. The screw thread 2 is made on a separate part 1a of the tube 1 to which it is spigoted and soldered.
