Abstract

713,326. Utilizing inertia in machinery. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS GES. Ort. 20, 1950 [Oct. 1, 1948], No. 25680/50. Class 8.0 (4) In a free-swinging mechanical oscillating system the mass 1 is driven by a tuned electromagnetic oscillator 2 and a supplementary oscillating system, comprising a mass) 3 and springs 4, is coupled to the mass 1 for compensating a part thereof and enabling a greater mass to be driven by an oscillator of a given size. The mass 3 and springs 4 may alternatively be replaced by a mass which is itself resilient and acts as a spring also. The supplementary system may be utilized as part of the mechanical system.
