Class 38(5) [Also in Groups XI and XXXV] A bimetallic regulator used for a variable on/off automatic temperature control system (see Group XXXV), comprises a contact 12 carried by a snapaction blade spring 18 which is actuated through a pushrod 22 on an arm 21 at one end of a rockable bar 19 pivoted at 20, and the bimetallic strip 15 and its associated heating coil 16 at the other end. The bimetal bears against a pivoted arm 24 which is adjustable to vary the temperature setting by a screw 29 pushing against a biasing spring 28. Specifications 565,252 and 640,097 are referred to.
