Class 132(2) Apparatus for playing a board game representing a shopping expedition comprises a board marked as shown, two dice, four packs of cards marked, respectively, with shops &c. to be visited, penalty cards for pedestrians, penalty cards for motorists and calls to be made on the way home and, for each player, a set of pieces distinguished by colour and comprising a motorist marker, a pedestrian marker and a "home" marker. In play, the cards marked with shops to be visited are dealt out and the players cast the dice and, in order of throw, inspect their shopping cards and place their "home" markers on "home" stations 20 around the peripheral tracks of the board. They then move their motorist markers in dependence on the throw of one die only over the main tracks to a parking space 14 drawing motorist penalty cards on certain spaces. They then draw and retain one card each of the pack denoting calls to be made on the way home. They then move their pedestrian markers in accordance with the throw of two dice and the pedestrian penalty cards about the board until they have visited all the shops defined by their shopping cards and return to their parking spaces 14<SP>1</SP>. They then proceed using one die and motorist markers: to their home stations 20 via the calls to be made on the way home as defined by the card drawn by each on first arriving at the spaces 14<SP>1</SP>.
