[Class 132 (ii)] Apparatus for playing a board game comprises a subdivided board, Fig. 1, marked with ports, depots or like starting and finishing bases 2a ; pieces or miniature ships, Fig. 2, for moving over the board; tokens to contest for, for example, representing diamonds, rubies, gold bars, pearls and barrels of rum; " crew " cards, Fig. 9, marked with " crew " values 1, 2 or 3, some red and the others black, for determining the moves of the pieces on the board and a set of twenty-eight " hazard " cards, Fig. 14, the " hazard " cards becoming operative when a piece enters an area comprising squares 2b, Fig. 1, adjacent a central space 3. The central space 3 is occupied by an island structure, Fig. 13, of cardboard suitably decorated and having one compartment 20a for the reception of the tokens representing diamonds &c. and another compartment comprising a yielding flap 22 for the reception of the hazard cards. Two additional islands 8, Fig. 1, may be marked at opposite corners of the board. Spaces 4, 5 adjacent the ports 2a serve various purposes according to the rules of the game and to the wording printed in the spaces.
