Abstract

709,286. Manicuring devices. JELLINCK, G. Aug. 9, 1951 [Sept. 1, 1950], No. 18761/51. Class 81(2) A nail coating comprises a series of layers, two or more layers being of waterproof, flexible and elastic material, which are attached to a support sheet by a watersoluble glue. The coating comprises a waterproof elastic layer 1 of optically reflecting material to which a glue layer 4 is applied, a transparent layer 2 which is coloured and may have metallic powder, glass pellets or mother-of-pearl varnish embedded therein and a protective transparent waterproof layer 3. The transparent layers 2, 3 may consist of synthetic resins. The film may be cut into nail-shaped patches of different sizes which are arranged in sets on a support. After soaking in water the patches are detachable from the support and may be applied to the nails, any excess film being trimmed off at the nail edge..The glue layer 4 is either supplied on the film or may be applied before the film is placed on the nail.
