708,410. Stacking chairs. HOWLAND (WYCOMBE), Ltd., A. & F., and PLESTED, P. C. June 26, 1953 [July 8, 1952], No. 17245/52. Class 52(2) A chair is so constructed that a number of them may be stacked either as shown in Fig. 4 or as shown in Fig. 5 and to this end the overall width of the front part of the seat 1 and front legs 6 is slightly less than the width between the rear legs 5 and between the members 4 of the back. The members 4 may be continuations of the rear legs. There is also no underframe below the seat, i.e. no members connecting the front or rear legs other than the seat frame.
