Abstract
707,844. Axial-flow fans. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. July 9, 1952 [July 13, 1951], No. 17317/52. Class 110(1) Means for reversing the pitch of the impeller blades 16 of a fan comprises an axially slidable disc 7 coaxial with but restrained from rotation relative to the impeller 6b by means of a guide pin 8 carried by the impeller; the spindle 15 of each blade 16 carries a crank 11 having a pin 10 which engages a recess in the circumference of the disc 7. Each pin 10 has a ball end 9. The disc 7 is moved axially by means of a worm 1 meshing with a worm wheel 2 formed with an internally threaded portion which engages a screw 3b. The latter is restrained from rotation by the engagement of a stationary pin 3c with a longitudinal groove 3d and is connected to the disc 7 through a bearing 4 and a hub 5.
