706,911. Trestles. HAWES, A. H. Aug. 16, 1951 [Aug. 16, 1950], No. 20395/50. Class 52(3) [Also in Group X] Scaffolding frame units, trestles &c. having two upright members 10 connected by one or more cross-members 14, 15, 17 are mounted on base elements 20 which are detachable from spigots 18 at the bottom of the uprights and disposable within the plane of the frame for transport. The base elements are provided with a clamping screw 27 to secure them either to the spigots 18 or to spigots 28 in the packed position for transport. The trestle comprises an upper part 11 and a lower part 16 relatively vertically adjustable by means of a screwthreaded part 12 of large pitch.
