706,553. Suspending curtains. PRICE, S. L. June 29, 1951 [Aug. 18, 1950], No. 20531/50. Class 52(5) A curtain suspension device comprises a longitudinally split tube a on which are fitted end members c, i housing pulleys e, j, k. Each master runner is formed from a semi-circular portion of tube p and has a diametrically upstanding partition q provided with slots t. The partition is extended beneath the tube p to form an orificed lug r. The ordinary runners v are made of tubular material with recesses w to receive loop members x. The loops x and the orificed lugs r, from which the curtains are suspended, extend through the slot in the tube. Operating cords g passing through the runners v and over the pulleys are attached to the master runners by passing the cords through the slots t. In modifications the ordinary runners and loops may be formed from a continuous wire coil, or the loops may be made from flanged extensions of the tubular runners.
