Abstract

706,411. Ice cream &c. servers. COOPER, W. T., and COOPER, G. S. Dec. 3, 1951 [Dec. 1, 1950], No. 29454/50. Addition to 671,105. Class 128 [Also in Group V] The quadrant - operated food - serving device claimed in the parent Specification is modified in that the spring 11, Fig. 2, against which the quadrant 8 is operated is formed with an arm 29 which engages, when fully extended, a lug 26 on the quadrant, but which may be depressed to disengage the lug and permit removal of the quadrant. The device may then be taken apart in the manner described in the parent Specification. The arm 29 presses against a retaining lug 28 on the stem 2 of the device. In the modification shown in Fig. 4 the spring 11 is mounted on the rotatable shaft 16 of the scraper 17. One end 31 of the spring engages a groove in the stem 2 whilst the other end 30 engages the toothed wheel 15.
