Class 123(2) In a forced-flow tubular steam boiler, such as that described in Specification 420,759, in which that part of the tubing where steam is actually generated is divided into two portions, the first portion, in which water predominates over steam, being subjected to a higher heat intensity, preferably mainly by radiation, and the second portion, in which steam predominates, to a lower intensity, preferably by contact heating, said second portion is maintained at a temperature which ensures that interaction between any oxygen in the steam and the tubing thereof is obviated, for example, by limiting the temperature of the heating gases to 750‹C.
