Abstract

705,113. Attaching articles to cards. RISDON MANUFACTURING CO. Dec. 11, 1951 [June 16, 1951], No. 28987/51. Class 94 (1) [Also in Group VII] In order to mount or pack upon a display card 13 a two-part button or buckle comprising a rounded head 1 intended; to be covered with a fabric which is secured by forcing an apertured disc 6 upon a rearward shank 5 of the button so that upturned teeth 10a around the edge of the disc will pierce the fabric and tension it upon the head 1 (see Group VII) the display card is provided with a plurality of holes 14 through which the shanks 5 of the buttons &c. are inserted to receive the discs 6 which are pushed thereon until the teeth 10a engage the back of the card. The detachment of the buttons from the card is facilitated by providing slots 15 extending from the apertures 14 to an edge of the card. A scored area 17 on the card may be used as a templet in cutting the covering material for the button.
