Class. 81(2) A syringe comprises a transparent cylindrical tube, in which a plunger is guided, characterized by the provision of a collar at at least one end of the tube for the reception of the necessary fittings. The cylindrical tube 1 is provided at each end with a collar 4, 5. A base plate 6 having a tubule 7 is secured against the common end' face 10 of the tube 1 and one collar 4 by a nut 12 co-operating with a threaded ring 11. The nut 12 has radial lugs 13 which engage the opposite face of the collar 4. The nut 12 is placed on the tube 1-by sliding it over the other collar 5, notches being provided in the other collar 5 for the passage of the lugs 13. The tube 1 is provided with a closing cap 8 also having radial lugs 18 which pass through the notches of the other - collar 5 and on rotation of the cap 8 engage the chamfered edge of that collar 5. A plunger 2 provided with a coloured mark 2a for co-operation with a scale on the tube 1 has a brake spring 3a. In the case of the plunger 2 and base plate 6 being made of ceramic material, the end face 2b of the plunger 2 and the corresponding face of the base plate 6 are glazed, the sealing surfaces of the plunger 2 and the base plate 6 being ground. The tubule 7 of the base plate 6 may be centrally or eccentrically arranged. In an alternative construction the base plate 6 may be secured to the tube 1 and collar 4 by an artificial resin adhesive.
