[Also in Groups XXV and XXXVII] In the fixing of indicating-apparatus such as electric meters, to mounting boards or panels by means of bolts, the panels are provided with a series of slots to enable them to mount a range of meters without the need for the provision of an extension series of tapped metal inserts. The panel 1 is provided with a number of sets of slots 2a arranged to suit the various meters it may be required to mount, the particular part 3 to be fixed-having a series of T-head bolts 7 that pass through some of the slots and when the nuts 9 are tightened rotate as limited by projections 11 behind the panel to assume a position transverse to the slots. The projections may be replaced by recesses adjacent the slots, these being then formed in thickened parts of the panel. The bolt heads may be formed with ridges that restrict their angular movement, and the slots 2a are wide enough to admit the necks 8 of the bolts but will not pass the screw-threaded shanks.
