Abstract

Class 38(3) A suspended controller for electric drives comprises a number of pushbutton units 1 which are of similar shape and are held in a common carrier 3 by means, for. example, of a single longitudinal screw or several transverse screws, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown). Each unit, or group of units, may be reremoved from the carrier for repair without dismantling the whole controller, the leads 7 to the individual units being accomodated in a space between the parts 1 and 3. The leads may be long enough to allow removal of each unit from the carrier without breaking its lead, Fig. 3 (not shown), or the connection to each unit may be made through a plug-and-socket coupling 8, 9. The carrier may be made in two or more parts so that it can be lengthened by the insertion of intermediate pieces.
