Abstract

The invention comprises the disodium salt of 2, 3-bis-(31-o-carboxymethoxybenzamido-21-methoxy -propylmercurimercapto)-propane-1 -ol of the formula <FORM:0703013/IV(b)/1> and a process for preparing the above compound by reacting a compound of the formula <FORM:0703013/IV(b)/2> with 2, 3-dimercapto-propanol. One example is given.
