Class 140 A composite sheet for covering roofs, walls &c. comprises a layer of relatively rigid heat-insulating board 10, Fig. 2, and one or more flexible asbestos-felt sheets 15 bonded to one or both sides of the board by a sodium silicate adhesive, which may contain zinc oxide or calcium carbonate. A metal sheet 16, Fig. 3, which may be plain or corrugated, may be secured to one side of the composite sheet by bitumen applied in the liquid state. A protective layer of asbestos felt may be secured to the untreated side of the metal sheet.
