700,083. Typewriters &c.. PANOCHA, A. July 21, 1949, No. 19214/49. Class 100 (4) A keyboard for typewriters, type setting machines and the like comprises a series of horizontal rows of keys parallel to the front of the keyboard, each row of keys including two groups of four keys, a, b to the left and right respectively of the centre line x, y of the keyboard, the eight keys being all on the same level, and additional keys c to complete the keyboard being elevated above the level of the keys a, b all keys, in rows from front to back converge towards the centre line as shown. All the horizontal rows may be on the same level or banked in the usual manner. Keys adjacent to the keys a, b are raised only one unit of height. Additional keys d, e, f, g may be fitted if desired with heights progressively increasing one unit at a time. The raised keys may be placed at the ends and/or in the centre of the horizontal rows and the number of raised keys in the centre of the keyboard may diminish towards the back of the keyboard.
