Abstract

699,932. Hopper discharges REDLER CONVEYORS, Ltd Oct. 30. 1952 [July 30. 1951] No. 18024/51. Class 78 (i). Discharge from a hopper 10 con taining fibrous material is made through grid bottom 26 by member 21 which rotates as it traverses the bottom of the hopper to discharge material by plucking it through the grid. AS shown, the member 21 is traversed by endless belts 39, 40 driven from motor 70 which is reversed at the ends of the movement ; the motor also driving chain 57 which passes over sprocket 56 fixed to member 21 so as to cause the rotation of the latter. Said rotation may also be caused by rack- and-pinion.
